Ketevan Mukhashavria graduated from Tbilisi Choreographic School. In 1981-1982, she did an internship in Moscow Choreographic School. In 1983, Ketevan Mukhashavria was admitted to Tbilisi Zakaria Paliashvili State Opera and Ballet Theatre and, for years, was a lead ballet dancer there. She participated in all classical and neo-classical performances of the ballet company’s repertoire. She has worked with such choreographers as Giorgi Aleksidze, Mikhail Lavrovsky, Nikita Dolgushin, Yuri Grigorovich, Jean Guizerix, Philippe Cohen and others. Ketevan was a special and unrivalled performer of Giorgi Aleksidze’s ballets. Together with the Tbilisi Zakaria Paliashvili State Opera and Ballet Theatre’s ballet company, she participated in various festivals and tours all over the world.

Since 2004, she has been a Ballet teacher at Vakhtang Chabukiani Ballet School.

In 1997, Ketevan Mukhashavria was awarded the Order of Honour.

Since 2016, Ketevan has been a Ballet teacher and Répétiteur at Giorgi Aleksidze Tbilisi Contemporary Ballet.
