Tamar Latsabidze

Ballet Artist

In 2017 Tamar Latsabidze graduated from Vakhtang Chabukiani Ballet School with a degree in Classical Ballet and the same year participated in the Don Quixote Performance and Ballet Competition in Tokyo.

Since 2018 Tamar Latsabidze has been a student at Tbilisi State University.

In 2018 she started working as a classical ballet teacher at the Rustavi  No. 24 Georgian Gymnasium after Ivane Javakhishvili. In the same year, she taught classical ballet at the Tbilisi Dance Academy, where she also worked as an assistant to a contemporary ballet teacher. From 2018 until today, Tamar has been a classical ballet teacher at Studio Lomsianta.

 In 2019, Tamar became a teacher of contemporary ballet at Meko studio. In the same year, she was filmed in Irakli Charkviani's clip Rat. In addition, during this period, she has participated in several commercials.

In 2021 participated in the project of Teona Charkviani - Sulta Khorum based on the compositions of  J.S. Bach, G. Mahler, Gia Mirzashvili, Irakli and Teona Charkviani.

In 2021, Tamar was offered an apprenticeship by choreographer Mariam Aleksidze at the Giorgi Aleksidze Tbilisi Contemporary Ballet, where she participated in the contemporary ballet, staged by Mariam Aleksidze, in accordance with David  Maziashvili’s idea and concept and based on Dante Alighieri's Divine Comedy – Beatrice, on music written especially for the performance of Oscar, and Golden Globe-winning composer Dario Marianelli, the world premiere of which took place on the big stage of the Rustaveli National Theatre. Tamar also participated in Mariam Aleksidze's choreographic composition on Nika Machaidze's original music, which was presented at a gala concert dedicated to the Independence Day of Georgia on May 26 at Tbilisi Z. Paliashvili Opera and Ballet State Theatre, and Mariam Aleksidze and David Maziashvili's contemporary multimedia ballet 12 Visits which premiered in the former prison, Alternative Art Space # 12. Later, Tamar joined the troup for the tour to Batumi, where the contemporary ballet Beatrice was presented at the Batumi Drama Theatre.

Tamar Latsabidze attended Prof.David Maziashvili’s Lecture Series Implemented at Giorgi Aleksidze Tbilisi Contemporary Ballet: Contemporary Ballet Beatrice – Three Conversations about Dante and The Divine Comedy.

In the same year, with the support of Mariam Aleksidze, Tamar became a student of the contemporary dance technique course at Giorgi Aleksidze Tbilisi Contemporary Ballet. Since 2022, Tamar Latsabidze has been an apprentice at the Company.

Tamar participated in the company’s repertoire performances and projects:

Evening of Giorgi Aleksidze’s choreography; Mariam Aleksidze’s The Bach Project 1 and Metamorphoses;

The gala concert dedicated to Georgia’s Independence Day (2022) and the Gala dedicated to Patriarch of All Georgia Ilia II which took place at Tbilisi Opera and Ballet State Theatre. (2023)

Since 2023, Tamar Latsabidze joined Giorgi Aleksidze Tbilisi Contemporary Ballet as an Artist.
